Ka-Chow

March 31, 2009

Ryan saw me taking the photos of the cards below today and asked if I would take pictures of him. “Really?” I asked. I was shocked. Little did I know that I would be competing with him dancing around, doing thumbs-up in front of his face, and yelling, “Ka-Chow!” over and over again (thank you Lighting McQueen). I did manage to get one keeper, though, and couldn’t resist sharing:

A Quick Card Share

March 31, 2009

I got out my stuff last night to make some cards and then got distracted. By the time I was ready to come back to them it was already so late and I was so tired, but I already had all the stuff out. So I decided to make them super simple and classic. And I decided that super simple and classic cards are my favorite kind.

I’ve got LOTS of friends having babies within the next month!

The Artsy Type

March 30, 2009

I’ve always been amazed at how good some people are at drawing, painting, etc. I’ve tried my hand several times at drawing and I simply suck at it. My mother-in-law MarGene is an amazing artist. With her permission, I’ll have to take some photos of her art and post it here, because seriously…WOW. Another person I admire is my sister Daynna. She’s always been an amazing artist and I’ve been more than happy to let her use my photos as subjects.

Remember this photo?

Look what Daynna did:

It’s all texturized and cool-looking. I don’t know what she used to make the fence, but she mounted the shot of Kyler on cardboard to make it stand out. Here’s a detail shot:

I’m hoping she’ll give me a good deal when she’s ready to sell it. Right, Daynna? :)

A couple of you have commented that you can’t see my new blog with Google Reader. I’m trying to remedy it right now, but if you want to subscribe to this blog with Google Reader, you need to paste this entire URL into the “subscription” button: http://elishasnow.com/blog/?feed=rss

Let me know if that still gives you problems!

Just a couple more shots of Ella. She was so sweet. I also had the chance to get a few shots of her brother who just turned three. As you can see, he’s got quite the personality.

Baby Ella

March 20, 2009

Just posting a sneak peek for my good friend Susie. Little Ella gives me hope that I may one day have some pink in my home…she’s got two older brothers who are Ryan’s and Kyler’s ages. Congratulations, Susie! She’s beautiful and I can’t get over what an incredible mother you are.
