Oh. My.
November 23, 2009I’m trying to think of a polite way to ask my friend Susie if I can please just have her baby.
Why would I want her baby, you ask? Oh here, let me just show you…

More to come…

I love to do maternity sessions but don’t get to very often, because most mothers feel so “un-pretty” when they’re 8 or 9 months pregnant! This mother is pregnant with her second boy and told me that she really regrets not getting maternity photos with her first. We had lots of fun chatting about the joys (and trials) of raising boys. What a great session!

And by “moment” I mean it was literally about 30 seconds before Ryan was yelling, “get off my arm!” and Kyler was yelling, “It’s my turn to play with mommy’s phone!”
*sigh*
Here are more photos from the session I posted last time. I had so much fun doing these photos and I can’t even tell you what perfect angels these little girls were. It was fun talking with the mom about her house full of girls and my soon-to-be house full of boys!

Okay, I may be a somewhat decent photographer, but it’s only because I work with subjects like this. Takes your breath away, right?

More of this family to come…

Yes, it’s true. We’re having a THIRD boy. I’ll admit that I was a little disappointed at first, but I’m perfectly happy now. It’s going to be crazy nuts in this house, but it will also be so much fun.
Everyone says, “well, at least you already have all the boy stuff,” but I am SO sick of everything I have! I’m for sure going to get some new onesies, washcloths and other basics. Also, my mom is going to help me make a car seat canopy, a nursing cover and some new hooded towels, so I’m on the lookout right now for lots of fabric! Anyone know of a good online (reasonably-priced) fabric store?
This year for Halloween Ryan decided he wanted to be Luigi (from the Nintendo Mario Brothers). We’re still not sure why he chose Luigi over Mario, but whatever. I kept insisting that Kyler was going to be a monkey since we had a perfectly good monkey costume, sitting in the closet that was just his size. But as Halloween got closer I kept thinking, “what’s Luigi without Mario?” So here are the Mario Brothers in all their glory:

A few things to note:
1. It doesn’t matter if you use eyeliner, face makup or a marker for a moustache, it will come right off if your kid has a runny nose.
2. As we walked around trick-or-treating, I noticed that everyone under the age of about 35 (especially in the range of 10-21) thought that Mario and Luigi were so cute, but anyone older than that kept saying, “who are you supposed to be?” In fact, I can pretty much guarantee that all my grandparents are seeing this right now wondering what the heck those kids are wearing.
3. Putting overalls on a newly-potty-trained little boy wasn’t the best idea.
4. Mario and Luigi are really good huggers.
