Photos

December 29, 2009

Okay, I’m starting the process of updating my blog with all of the darling family photos I’ve done the last month or so. I can’t believe I’m just now getting around to posting them!

So here’s the first darling family. I love that they wanted more of an urban look for this sesson! And you know I have a bit of a soft spot for cute little boys. :)

Merry (day after) Christmas!

December 26, 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas here at the Snow home. I’m a little glad it’s over, just so I can get my house back in order and relax a bit more! I’m usually the one who has decorations down the morning after Christmas, but this year I’ve decided to relax a bit and get them down when I feel like it.

You might be surprised to hear that I actually don’t have any photos from Christmas day. It seems to go against everything a professional photographer believes, but I purposely don’t take photos. I so much enjoy taking in the precious moments without a camera in front of my face. Sometimes you just gotta know when to put it down.

Here is the one and only photo from this Christmas season, taken last Sunday before church. The boys were so cute in their matching outfits that I had to grab a photo in front of the tree. Unfortunately Kyler was just getting over pink eye and so it looks like he has two black eyes, but I love it anyway.

Here’s to the coming week, full of cleaning and organizing, one last Christmas get-together, and a little New Year’s Eve bash!

Guilt

Oh Elisha, you are one bad blogger. I promise things will pick up after Christmas. Like who has time this time of year to read my blog anyway, right?

Our Christmas Card

December 8, 2009

Gosh, I feel like it’s been way too long since I’ve posted anything good on my blog. Life is just so busy right now (as I know you can all relate). I’m working on finishing up some last minute photo editing before Christmas, finishing the last parts of my BPS classes, plus a couple more fun projects in the works!

Christmas responsibilities always seem to sneak up on me as well. I always think, “Oh, it won’t be that hard to buy gifts for Matt, Ryan, Kyler, my parents, Matt’s parents, a few other family members, etc.” But then I forget about all the LITTLE things that go into Christmas. Like neighbor gifts, stuff to go in stockings, Christmas cards to make, parties to attend, and so much more. It’s fun, but exhausting!

Anyway, I wanted to share this year’s Christmas card with you.

My Next Class!

December 2, 2009

Hey, I  just wanted to let everyone know that registration for my next class begins soon! Here are the details:

“Get Out of Auto Mode”

4-week class

Price: $59

This class is for those people that own digital SLR cameras. I realize there are a lot of “cross-over” cameras that may be able to function the same way as an SLR. You’ll need to determine for yourself if you think this class will be beneficial.

WEEK 1: Basic settings, basic zone/icon settings, quick re-cap of composition and lighting techniques

WEEK 2: Using your camera in Program and Shutter-priority modes

WEEK 3: Using your camera in Aperture-priority mode, handout on lenses

WEEK 4: Focusing, white balance, flash, and post-processing

That’s the basic run-down. The class after that will be all about using your camera in full manual mode. We’ll go into detail about ISO, shutter speed and aperture and talk about how they all function together.

I’ll post again as soon as registration is available (soon!), so stay tuned.
